HEALTH AND SAFETY ADMINISTRATOR

Contract: Part Time (min. 20hrs/wk) or Full Time (37.5hrs/wk) contract

Salary: £20,500 to £21,450 (dependant on experience)

Base location: Central Park, Mallusk

 Overall Purpose of Role

Due to our continual growth, we are looking to appoint a full time or part time Health and Safety Administrator to join our team.  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking for a challenging but rewarding experience with the company.

This position will provide administrative support to the Health and Safety team across the group ensuring that operational procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements are carried out and all appropriate records are maintained and available to evidence.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Provide administrative support on day-to-day basis to support the long- term effectiveness of the Health and Safety department across the group
  • Assist with administrative tasks which support the gathering of information relating to internal and external audits, accident investigations, inductions and other tasks within the department
  • Maintain company Health and Safety management system to ensure compliance, this includes updating employee records
  • Monitoring and maintaining contractor compliance, ensuring records and documentation is up to date
  • Preparation of documents for team meetings, taking accurate minutes and completing actions where appropriate
  • Produce Monthly Health and Safety KPI statistics
  • Ensure Company Health and Safety noticeboards information is kept up to date (e.g. First Aiders, Fire Warden information etc)
  • Monitoring PPE compliance through Health and Safety software system
  • Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of the company ISO systems
  • Undertaking any other duties that may be required to support the effective running of the HSE Department
  • Working with all departments throughout company to monitor, maintain and organise employee training including working with external training providers

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this role, you should display the following:

  • At least one years’ previous administration experience, to include experience working with external companies, for example, training providers and contractors
  • Must be competent in use of IT software systems, Microsoft office suite, in particular, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Enjoy working with people and display good interpersonal skills
  • Good standard of verbal and written communication skills
  • Recognise the importance of confidentiality
  • Excellent organisational skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of internal auditing
  • Experience of updating and maintaining company databases/systems
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and/or 45001
