Shift Pattern
- Week 1- 7am -7pm Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun
- Week 2 – 7am-7pm- Wed, Thur, Fri
- Week 3- 7pm -7am Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun
- Week 4 – 7pm-7am- Wed, Thur, Fri
Please note that shift pattern until 5th January 2025 will be Monday to Friday 6am-3pm/2pm-11pm, alternate shifts.
We are looking to appoint a Machine Operative, in our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), at our RiverRidge site in Garvagh
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operating various machines within the MRF to include mobile machinery such as forklifts and Loading Shovels.
- Report immediately any issues with Machines to MRF Supervisor / Operations Manager
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company obligations, & Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Ensure all Machines on site comply with the relevant H&S standards and company standard operating procedures.
- Ensuring the facility & its’ equipment is kept clean and tidy, with importance placed on housekeeping/cleaning throughout the shift (will include working at height)
- Any other duties as delegated by the MRF Supervisor / Operations Manager.
Essential Criteria
- Must have a valid licence and experience of operating one of the following machines: 360° Excavator, Telescopic Forklift, Counterbalance Forklift or Loading shovel
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to work well on own initiative
- Be self-motivated
- Ability to work well with others
- Flexible approach to work hours
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience working in the Waste industry
