What is your role within RiverRidge?
I am a Customer Service Team Leader.
What does an average day look like for you?
I start the day off right with my morning coffee, as I’m not truly awake until I take those first couple of sips! I then look through the service team inbox to see if there is anything that requires urgent attention. After that, I switch my focus to helping the rest of the team manage any queries that come in throughout the day via the live chat on our website, emails or telephone calls.
How long have you been working for RiverRidge?
I joined RiverRidge in May 2021, so I will soon be celebrating my two-year anniversary.
What do you enjoy most about working with RiverRidge?
I really enjoy being a part of the Customer Service team, all of who are always ready to lend a helping hand! Everyone is so easy to get along with and we have good fun and a laugh, so there’s never a dull moment in the office.
Are there any challenging aspects of your role? If so, what?
On rare occasions there are challenges that arise that include the resolution of customer queries that may not be straightforward, however it is really rewarding to find a solution to these issues, as I love problem solving.
In your opinion, what makes RiverRidge stand out from other waste and resource management companies?
It has to be the quality of our customer service. We have an award winning and dedicated customer service team that is on hand to answer any queries that our customers may have regarding our services. When you hear stories about how our team went over and above to help customers, especially recently reuniting a customer with her missing ring, it makes me very proud to work for such a good company.
How do you like to relax outside working hours?
I am an avid gym-goer and would say I am absolutely addicted to it! I train CrossFit 3-4 times a week and enjoying running as well. When I am not in the gym, I am entertaining my five-year-old son, usually by pretending to be his favourite dinosaur.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
I am a triplet. My brother, Peter, is identical to me, and even at the age of 30, people still mistake us for one another.
