RiverRidge supports Derry GAA in their bid to become All-Ireland Minor Champions

As proud sponsor of the Derry GAA Development Squads and Northern Ireland’s leading waste management company, RiverRidge, shows its support to the Derry Minors ahead of their All-Ireland Final against Kerry.

RiverRidge was named the sponsor of the Derry Development Squads in 2016, since then it has continued to support the county’s emerging sporting talent, providing them with the resources and opportunities to transition from capable youth to successful county minor and senior footballers.

Ben McCarron, Forward for the Derry Development Squad said, “The Development Squad has helped me realise the standard I need to reach to play at the highest level with the best of my age group in the county.

“With the encouragement of the management team, they enabled me to build on my strengths and focus on my weaknesses to continue to improve and play at the standards they knew I was capable of.”

Compliance Director, Eamon Doherty of RiverRidge commented, “We, as a company, strive to support our young people by offering them full access to the best environment, to allow them to develop and reach their full potential for their local club and county.”

“Seeing the Derry Minors progress to the All-Ireland Final, which is the ultimate achievement in the GAA world, is one that will inspire the youth of the Derry Development Squads to strive and follow in their footsteps.”

Ben continues, “The fact that the Minors have reached the All-Ireland Final is proof that the hard work at underage level is paying off. We have some really talented footballers in Derry, with the right structures in place, anything is possible.”

Eamon concludes, “I want to wish the Minor team all the best in their fight to become All-Ireland Minor Champions and I look forward to a great day of football!”
