Construction Waste Management
Construction sites create waste. RiverRidge handles the rest.
From groundworks to fit-out, every stage of a construction project generates waste. RiverRidge provides Northern Ireland’s construction industry with a complete, compliant waste management service – covering every material type, every container size, and every postcode. No subcontractors. No surprises. Just reliable, sustainable removal, backed by full digital reporting.
Why RiverRidge for your Construction Waste?
We're already near you
Wherever your site is, we’re there. Our own depots and fleet mean no reliance on subcontractors and consistent service on every lift.
Maximum Material Recovery
Construction & demolition waste entering our treatment facilities is segregated and processed to extract the maximum recyclable content, diverting material from landfill.
Compliance taken care of
We provide waste transfer notes, tonnage data, and carbon reporting to support your Site Waste Management Plan and regulatory obligations.
Right Container, Right Time
From a single mini skip for a small residential job to large RoRo containers for major sites – our fleet is available on flexible turnaround times.
Skips
Skips are ideal for managing waste on construction sites of all sizes, from small residential builds to larger commercial projects. At RiverRidge, we offer a range of skip sizes to suit the volume and type of material your site generates – whether that’s concrete and rubble, timber offcuts, metals, or general site waste. Our flexible delivery and collection service keeps your site clear and your project moving. Please see our Skip Guide for more information.
Compactors
Compactors are well suited to large construction and demolition sites generating consistently high volumes of waste. At RiverRidge, our compactors are particularly effective for sites producing significant quantities of single-stream materials such as cardboard packaging or plastics – common by-products of fit-out and finishing works. A compactor reduces collection frequency, creating real cost savings over the duration of a long project, though it does require a suitable footprint on site and access to electricity. Please see our Compactor Guide for more information.
Balers
Construction and fit-out projects often generate significant volumes of single-stream recyclable materials such as cardboard, plastic wrapping, and shrink film. If your site is producing meaningful quantities of these materials, installing a baler could turn that waste into a revenue stream. At RiverRidge, we can install a baler on your site, provide full operator training, and collect the baled material through our specialised collection service – meaning your recyclables are handled efficiently and you see a return on what would otherwise be a disposal cost. Contact our team to organise a site audit and proposal on this service.
What makes us different from national operators
We're not a broker reselling collections on your behalf. We own the vehicles, the facilities, and the relationship - from collection to processing to recovery.
We own everything end-to-end
Our facilities process what we collect. There are no subcontractors, no third-party hauliers, and no gaps in the chain where your Duty of Care documentation could fail.
GRI-aligned ESG credentials
We report our own environmental performance in line with GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards – which means you can cite us as a supplier with verified ESG credentials in your own reporting.
300,000+ tonnes processed annually
Across our advanced material recovery facilities (MRFs) and Northern Ireland’s only waste-to-energy facility in Belfast. The scale to handle any volume your business generates.
NI knowledge, not call-centre service
We’ve operated in Northern Ireland since 2011. Our account managers know NI’s commercial areas, its licensing requirements, and its NIEA compliance landscape – because they work here.
Zero landfill ambition
Our waste-to-energy facility in Belfast recovers energy from residual waste that cannot be recycled, diverting it from landfill entirely. Your waste doesn’t end up in the ground.
Low-emission fleet
RiverRidge operates Northern Ireland’s first electric skip lift vehicle and runs a fleet of hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) vehicles, reducing transport emissions by 90% versus diesel.
