Dry Mixed Recycling Collection
Dry mixed recycling collection for every Northern Ireland business, handled by RiverRidge.
Whatever volume of dry mixed recycling your business produces – RiverRidge collects it. Our own fleet covers 95% of Northern Ireland’s postcodes with scheduled DMR collections for businesses of all sizes, from a small office to a large retail operation across multiple sites. Every collection comes with full Duty of Care documentation and digital carbon reporting as standard.
What's is Dry Mixed Recycling - and what happens to it?
Dry mixed recycling collected from your business is transferred to our own Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) in Northern Ireland, where it is sorted by material type – paper, card, and plastics — and processed for recycling back into new products. Nothing goes to landfill.
What's in your Dry Mixed Recycling waste?
We offer an efficient and regular dry mixed recycling collection service to businesses across Northern Ireland. DMR is one of the most straightforward waste streams to divert from landfill – however, once contaminated with food waste or general waste, recyclable materials become significantly harder to process and recover. Keeping your DMR stream clean and segregated is the single most important step your business can take to maximise its recycling rate.
What makes us different from national operators
We're not a broker reselling collections on your behalf. We own the vehicles, the facilities, and the relationship - from collection to processing to recovery.
We own everything end-to-end
Our facilities process what we collect. There are no subcontractors, no third-party hauliers, and no gaps in the chain where your Duty of Care documentation could fail.
GRI-aligned ESG credentials
We report our own environmental performance in line with GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards – which means you can cite us as a supplier with verified ESG credentials in your own reporting.
300,000+ tonnes processed annually
Across our advanced material recovery facilities (MRFs) and Northern Ireland’s only waste-to-energy facility in Belfast. The scale to handle any volume your business generates.
NI knowledge, not call-centre service
We’ve operated in Northern Ireland since 2011. Our account managers know NI’s commercial areas, its licensing requirements, and its NIEA compliance landscape – because they work here.
Zero landfill ambition
Our waste-to-energy facility in Belfast recovers energy from residual waste that cannot be recycled, diverting it from landfill entirely. Your waste doesn’t end up in the ground.
Low-emission fleet
RiverRidge operates Northern Ireland’s first electric skip lift vehicle and runs a fleet of hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) vehicles, reducing transport emissions by 90% versus diesel.
