Collection
Transition to alternative fuels
RiverRidge operates the most carbon efficient fleet in Northern Ireland. Embedded within our ESG strategy is a commitment to transitioning our fleet to 75% renewable by 2035 and in so doing reduce the carbon cost of collection service by 90% by 2040.
Reliable capacity
Our collection routes are designed to ensure the lowest carbon intensity is applied to the lifting of each and every container.
Carbon efficiency in motion
The emissions generated through our collection services are a significant element of our scope three reporting. We recognise this fact and are on a journey to upgrade and transition our fleet. We already operate Northern Ireland’s most efficient fleet, with a strategy in place to continue reducing the carbon cost of our collections. We expect to reduce the carbon footprint of our commercial collection fleet by 64% by 2030 and by over 80% by 2035. By 2035, 75% of the fleet will transition to renewable power.
We cater to 95% of Northern Irish postcodes. No sub-contractors needed.
With depots across the country, we offer an in-house service to every one of our 4,500+ customers. Collecting a variety of waste types and utilising a range of container types, we are able to create a service that works for you.
