RiverRidge Environmental Trust
The RiverRidge Environmental Trust is a cornerstone of our sustainability strategy, dedicated to protecting Northern Ireland’s natural environment and fostering positive change within our communities.
Managed by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland (CFNI), this initiative provides grants of up to £1,000 for eligible projects located within a 10-mile radius of a RiverRidge site, focusing on tangible, lasting environmental benefits. The funding prioritises projects that positively impact habitats, surface or groundwater, waste management, air quality, or soil management. Eligible initiatives may include litter-picking campaigns, tree planting, creation of green spaces, and the development of wild gardens.
Registered charities or non-profits with no political or religious affiliations can apply. The Trust does not support activities unrelated to environmental sustainability, nor projects conflicting with our values. Managed in collaboration with the CFNI, this Trust exemplifies our unwavering commitment to safeguarding the environment, empowering local communities, and promoting a greener future.
