RiverRidge Holdings is pleased to announce that one of its subsidiaries, RiverRidge (Mallusk) Limited has today completed the acquisition of the business assets and customers of ISL Waste Management Limited, following the appointment of administrators to the company.
ISL Waste Management was located in Mallusk, Co. Antrim and focused on the collection, treatment and disposal of commercial and industrial wastes across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland on behalf of larger waste management companies who operate UK wide contracts. ISL provided a full range of collection services which cover both hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams. As part of the acquisition, RiverRidge will take on all the employees and continue to manage ISL’s treatment facility in Mallusk.
RiverRidge operates two other treatment facilities in Portadown and Garvagh respectively and is focused on the collection, treatment and disposal of commercial and industrial waste streams as well as municipal collected household wastes. RiverRidge’s primary focus over the past number of years has been the diversion of municipal collected waste streams from landfill on behalf of a number of local authorities within Northern Ireland. The company has been recognised in the past as one of the sectors’ most innovative businesses in terms of waste treatment and is Northern Ireland’s largest manufacturer and exporter of waste derived fuels to the waste to energy and alternative fuels sectors.
The acquisition provides RiverRidge with greater collection coverage throughout Northern Ireland and particularly within the greater Belfast area.
